I was never particularly driven by fashion trends. I would observe what was new, but I always stayed true to my own style, moving through phases, returning to them, and evolving... As I entered my more mature years, I began to feel and understand something more primal—a sense of where I truly belong, who I really am. And yes, it is deeply connected to my female ancestors. I feel the Montenegrin woman in all her sublime sacrifice, which she lived as an undeniable truth. I feel her pain as a sacred legacy. (But more on that another time).

Then, my path crossed with other remarkable women who approach their craft exactly as I believe it should be done. (I admit, in this present moment and environment dominated by superficiality, that is no easy feat.)

What followed was a beautiful collaboration built on mutual respect and understanding.

Many of you have asked about the creations I wear for special moments—those I prepare specifically for the occasion. These women are there to inspire me, to complete my vision, to offer suggestions, and most importantly, to amaze me with what they design and craft for me. From the small yet immensely hardworking Simtex, Atelier Kralj was born. Its true grandeur is yet to be revealed.

It is a wonderful feeling to be their queen.
